Welcome!

The basic premise of this group is that this Nation and the "Global Community" are experiencing permanent and fundamental changes that have not been seen for many centuries, if at all. These Global/National changes, principally in both the political and economic sectors, are in progress that are affecting people's belief systems, altering their focus, and causing a rethinking of lifestyle choices and options. The core belief is that these changes are inherently "spiritual" in nature, but manifest as political, economic, and social attitudes and circumstances.

These conditions MUST be consciously addressed, as they are unlikely to change anytime soon. Logically, it is better to proactively RESPOND to such changes, rather than wait until there is no choice but to react to them. In addition, it is believed and understood that effective changes do NOT come from government policy or group efforts. Real changes only occurs within the individual, whose ultimate actions energetically affect the global environment through a process of entrainment. Thus, each of us ARE the change (and "hope") that we are seeking!

Focus & Goal:

The primary focus of this group is to provide an educational forum where people can develop (and understand the need for the acquisition of) "rural skills" and basic self-sufficiency skills, which will enable us to be adequately prepared for any significant changes in personal circumstances, however temporary or permanent those changes may be. The ultimate goal of this group to to instruct members, share information, and provide mentoring on how to become politically and economically INVISIBLE by learning to become completely self-sufficient and self-reliant.

Outcome:

A return to an attitude of simple living returns us to our hearts, to the value of our local community, and turns us away from seeing the world as a giant supermarket, where everything can be bought or sold. As a society, we have reached a point where it may no longer continue to be possible to purchase what you want or need, due to either not having the money for that thing, or its simply not being available. Therefore, if we can't buy it, then we'll need to be able to make it, or "make do" (without it). This is not about "moving the furniture around" -- it's about true self-sufficiency, learning rural skills, and becoming whole again!

Living Simply also brings us back into alignment with Nature. It renews our spirit, and reminds us of what is truly important. A slower pace allows us to take in the beauty and perfection of Nature's balance, the eternal Taiji. (i.e. The eternal balance of "complimentary opposites", as embodied in the "Yin-Yang symbol".) We learn to operate in "Natural time" instead of "corporate time" -- "Kairos" vs. "Chronos".
